8-Week Hand-Building Pottery Course

What you'll do
This course runs for 8 sessions and is suitable for participants aged 12 and above. Throughout the program, students will learn a wide range of hand-building and ceramic decoration techniques, with a different pottery activity introduced each week. Course Outline: 1. Pinching (cups/bowls) 2. Clay sculpting (animals / special figurines) 3. Slab construction (candle holder / jewelry box) 4. Coiling (vases / planters) 5. Stamping & surface decoration (tableware) 6. Nerikomi / marble clay technique 7. Glazing 8. Finalising completed works Students will learn to create cups, bowls, clay animals, vases, tableware, and decorative pieces. Each participant can expect to complete 8–9 finished works. All pieces will be fired and ready to take home afterward. The studio provides all materials and tools, so there’s no need to bring anything. Class Schedule The course runs once a week for 8 consecutive weeks, on the same day and time each week.
